Prominent Bernie bro tweets: “Go shoot the nearest police officer in the face”

“Go shoot the nearest police officer in the face” these are the words of a prominent activist and Bernie Sanders volunteer Yusuf Naqvi, a Chicago-based contract lawyer.

“They are the bottom enforcers of a system that profited from such poverty and decay that we are now jobless and homebound with no income nor healthcare to help us through this crisis Go shoot the nearest police officer in the face,” he wrote on Twitter.

Naqvi has a history of expressing anti-police, pro-Antifa sentiment. In 2019, he tweeted: “The police are the largest, most dangerous white power group in America, with millions of members, military-grade weapons and even permission of law to harrass, beat and murder black and brown people. Antifa should focus their efforts on the police, but they’re just too dangerous.”

In another recent tweet, Naqvi expressed that the older generation being killed off by coronavirus may actually be a positive thing, allowing the youth vote to elect Sanders.

With a following of over 12,000 people on Twitter, Naqvi is followed by many prominent left-wing personalities including Levi Sanders, Bernie Sanders’ son.

Naqvi’s experiences volunteering for the Sanders campaign are well-documented on his social media. In 2019, he tweeted about his experience collecting signatures for Bernie, offering advice about being “friendly” while canvassing.

This isn’t the first instance of a prominent Bernie campaign worker advocating for violence against authorities. Earlier this year, James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas brought light to the fact that many volunteers and staffers for the Bernie Sanders campaign advocate for violence and supported antifa.

Naqvi is employed as a contract lawyer in Chicago. The Post Millennial has been able to verify that he is still a member of the Illinois State Bar Association. He specializes in civil litigation, bankruptcy, family law, probate and estate planning, and real estate.
